What is a CSC?

CSC or Common Service Centre aims to revamp the front-end delivery systems of public services such as the issuance of certificates, licences, Aadhar cards and more.

The CSC also creates job opportunities for village entrepreneurs who can run the Common Service Centres in their area. At present, the government aims to have at least one CSC in every Gram Panchayat.

CSC in a Gram Panchayat acts as an amalgamation of private and public sectors at the central level. However, this isn't the case with the state-level CSCs.  At the state level, private companies known as “Service Centre Agencies” are responsible for selecting and hiring Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLE).

Whatever the case is, the employment provided by csc seva kendra encourages rural people to contribute and participate in the initiative launched by the government of India.
